An official from the communications giant BT has recently spoken out about how access to fibre optic broadband will benefit the North West of the country. The digital divide between areas that can get adequate broadband speeds and access and those that cannot has caused great concern mainly because of the huge benefits that the areas that are unable to get broadband are missing out on. It is widely recognised that access to high speed broadband can help both residents and businesses and can result in a huge number of benefits for individual areas.
